Welcome, Class of 2018!

Members of the Class of 2018 will arrive on campus for orientation on Sunday, Aug. 24 to start their Brandeis journeys.

Brandeis University is getting ready to welcome its newest family members to campus.

From 40 U.S. states and 24 different countries, the Class of 2018 will begin moving into their residence halls on Sunday, Aug. 24, starting at 9 a.m., marking the official start of new student orientation. The week of activities and events is designed to help the 865 first-year students assimilate to campus culture and begin making Brandeis their new home.

Move-in day will include a convocation address by Brandeis President Fred Lawrence and culminates with the new students saying goodbye to their families. While the students are settling into their residence halls, parents are invited to a reception to meet with fellow first-year parents.

The remainder of orientation week includes informative programs about academic responsibility, university rules, health and wellness, and employment opportunities on campus. Plenty of fun events that are unique to the Brandeis experience are mixed in, too, such as a candle lighting ceremony at the Rose Art Museum, a beach resort-themed party, and a school spirit forum hosted by Dean of Students Jamele Adams.
